in of the applicable figures. All cabinets shall have a minimum two-point latch device. The cabinets shall be furnished ready for complete and proper assembly (shipped knocked-down) or shall be completely and properly assembled by the contractor (shipped set up) as specified by the contracting officer.
Face hardware. The face hardware includes a flush pull assembly and a pin or disk tumbler key lock with two keys. The lock shall have not less than 125 key changes. Face hardware shall be polished chrome plate on steel or die cast zinc, or polished anodized aluminum.
Coat hooks. Coat hooks shall be commercially available items. Hooks shall be anodized or plated to resist rust. Ends shall be closed and smooth.
Shelves. Shelves shall be as wide and deep as possible within the limitations of the cabinet construction. Hat shelves shall be nonadjustable and shall clear the nearest obstruction above it by not more than 12 or less than 8 inches. Adjustable shelves shall have at least one 90 degree flange on front back and each side and additional formations and components when necessary for proper engagement of shelf supports and compliance with shelf load test. Adjustable shelves in type II cabinets shall extend between the cabinet side and vertical partition.
Shelf supports. Type I and 11 cabinets shall have supports for shelve which permit shelf adjustment on two inch centers or less without the use of tools or separate clips. They shall provide positive balanced support for the shelves at-four or more locations. Shelf supports created by lancing the sides and/or the backs of the cabinet are not permitted. The shelf supports shall provide shelf adjustment to within 10 inches of the nearest obstruction at the top and bottom of the cabinet.
Vertical dividing partition. The vertical dividing partition shall extend the full depth of the interior of the cabinet. Its front face shall be formed and shall be even with or shall extend beyond the adjustable shelves. It shall also extend between the bottom and the hat shelf, or between the bottom and the top, depending on the size of the cabinet, dividing the cabinet into two equal compartments as determined visually.
